Throwing the deuces
I got alot of flack because I went through a breeder rather than an animal shelter when I got my dog. That and they thought this breeder might be a puppy mill just because there are so many in the area where they were located. I went to a breeder because I wanted a specific breed that you don't find many in shelters. Plus I know me and if I went to a shelter, I'd never be able to choose just one and feel sick to my stomach to know that the ones I didn't choose would probably end up dead (but yes, the one I could have save didn't get saved because I didn't go). I have a soft heart for animals and it's just easier if they are just dropped in my lap as a stray/found animal or I am only given one choice and know that there will be no others that will suffer because I didn't choose them. The breeder I went to had one male puppy and one female puppy left from the litter. I wanted a female and by the time we picked her up from the breeders, the brother was on his way to his new home or we'd probably would have caved and gotten him too!!
