Oreck Vacuum cleaners ....

We had one, I wasn't too impressed, so we scraped it and got a Dyson :yay:

Same here! And NP, my dog attacked the hell of out it. The first time he bit the Dyson, I think it hurt him and he stopped.

Personally, I think the Oreck is cheaply made. I could be Consumer Report's tester for vacuum cleaners. For a vacuum to last 2 years in MY house, it has to be good. My Dyson is going on 4. :yay:

Another thing about the Dyson is that it is so simple to take apart. All you need is a coin and everything wipes clean.

Now I love the Oreck car vacuum and use that on stairs/bathrooms/under the bed/desk/RV. :yay:

Dyson Animal

Check out the Animal and be sure to read the reviews before you buy.

Have had mine for about 3 years.....best thing I ever bought and I have 3 long haired cats...talk about shedding! Dyson does everything it says it will.:yahoo:

Pookieboo!!!
Dyson is expensive, but they are worth every penny especially if you have pets. Get on that says Animal. It's a attachment that works great for steps and car upholstry.

Great tip: Use a bed, bath and beyond coupon and save lots of money. They take expired coupons too! :)

Dysons are not heavy, nor expensive, Kirby's are heavy and expensive 25 lbs and $1800

I am looking to buy a new vacuum too. I was looking at some Dysons. when you say you have an Animal...which one? I found 4 different animals. DC07, DC14, DC15, & DC17.

Please read the reviews. I think the DC07 didn't get a good rating, some complained about it not having a light in the front (among a few other things).

In My Opinion
my sister has one of the orecks and loves it.
but, you have to take it in once a year for their check up or the warranty is void.

I have the electrolux guardian, its now about 5 years old and has not lost power or had any problems since I got it. it came with a 25 year warranty.
