Yah know, I get the 'out of our lands' part from the standpoint of an intellectual argument. I'm just looking for the reciprocity:

Where is the offer of all Muslims getting out of Europe and The US?

I don't support either position but I'd appreciate a little intellectual consistancy.

Russians, he said, were only killed after attacking Afghanistan in the 1980s and Chechnya, Europeans after invading Iraq and Afghanistan and the Americans in New York after "supporting the Jews in Palestine and their invasion of the Arabian Peninsula."

As with all family squabbles over time, it is forgotten what the true issue is. Christians, Muslims , Jews are bound by blood to forever fight with one another.

Father Abraham had many sons:wink:

Ishmael was Abraham's first born son by Hagar, the Egyptian slavegirl (Genesis 16:1-16 and I Chronicles 1:28-31). And, here is where the Family Feud began.

Hagar bore Ishamel (and thus all the Ishmaelites or Arabic Peoples--Muslims)

Sarah bore Isaac (and all the Jews),

Keturah bore several sons (which became the Nordic Peoples and Christians).

There has been squabbling in sibling rivalry ever since!

Uh, I don't remember seeing that in Genesis. I do know there are many American Christians who believe that the US and England are descended from the 10 lost tribes.

I did a text search on the site, and found Keturah. But I couldn't find anything that shows that her kids became the Nordic peoples.

I'm so fed up with the Israeli/Palestinian problem. I feel like we should evacuate the Israelis out of the West Bank by force, and put up 40-foot walls around both the West Bank and pre-1967 Israel. Anything, just as long as they leave each other the hell alone and stop dragging us into their fight. We should be like an exasperated parent--"Since you won't stop fighting, I'm turning this car right around and we're not going to Kings Dominion."

Just venting...

What I want to know is who made OBL the spokesman for all Islamic nations? The Islamic nations should stand up and tell OBL to stuff it (assuming they don't want him speaking for them).

He certainly thinks he speaks for all Muslims. I think he's like any extremist--he intimidates less fanatical Muslims who don't like him, because they're afraid he'll accuse them of being traitors to their faith. Plus, the governments in the Muslim world don't want to become targets of terrorism themselves.

Y...

...Osama is a pressure release valve for Arab governments.

He is a Saudi and doesn't like they way the House of Saud runs the country and with good reason; they are a monarchy. There's the have's, the 30,000 members of the House of Saud and then everyone else. Yes, you can be educated and acheive as he did but there is still a ceiling.

He was kicked out of the country for being a pest. So, he runs around denouncing 'the west' aka the USA, and declares jihad because we have/had armed forces in lands his religions says must not be there. He also blames us for corrupting oil nations leadership and sees us as an impediment to another desire of his; Shariah or rule of, by and for the Koran.

At least that's my understanding.

So, as long as he is fighting with the US and we are hunting him then the poor in all these nations have a hero to root for and a villain to root against and thus they ignore the Arab boot on their throats at home.

He gets busted and all of a sudden the monarchs have to deal with more problems.

Good stuff, Larry. You sound like you read the National Geographic article on the Saudis.

You won't. In fact, even the Bible never suggests that Abraham is the common ancestor of everyone on the planet. *NOAH* perhaps, because according to the Bible, everyone else was killed, except for him and his family and their wives. Of course, I do not believe in Noah being a literal story.

Of course, the Koran version of Abraham, and Ishmael is different from the Biblical one.

And the thing is, there isn't a "Christian" people, even according to the Bible. While you have to be born an Arab, and for all intents and purposes, born a Jew, anyone from any race can become a Christian. A substantial portion of the world's Christians are Chinese, Filipino, Nigerian and Brazilian - hardly being a Christian "race".

Me neither, although I like the idea of that and other religions' Flood stories being derived from real events, such as rising sea levels after the Ice Age.

You know, some Christians believe that Noah's sons were the ancestors of different races, like Shem for Europeans, Ham for Africans and Japeth for Asians? That supposes that Shem looked like Brad Pitt, Ham looked like Samuel L. Jackson and Japeth looked like Jackie Chan. What a family portrait.

Ah! You have heard of Ryan and Pitman, and their work around the Black Sea. Whether or not it is the source of the flood stories of Gilgamesh and Noah, there WAS a flood when the Bosporus broke through around 5600 BC, and several cubic miles of water flowed into the Black Sea basin every day for many years.

Fascinating stuff. I've seen maps of what the difference might have been, of seaside towns that were lost, and how the current strata of water STILL shows a difference in salinity at different levels.

I've heard of that research, too. Yes, it is fascinating.
