The amount of recoil did not seem excessive for that caliber. It looks like a manufacturing defect to me.

Or maybe operator error. When he draws the hammer back I kind of see the left hand bumping the cylinder maybe resulting in a slightly over or under rotation with cylinder to barrel malalignment. The round obviously impacts the barrel.
