Football season!
If you heard screams last night, those were from my sister's place in Roanoke. Apparantly my 13 year old niece made friends with a guy from england (I think he lived in her neighborhood before moving back). I guess she doesn't fully understand the notion of long distance calling, so when they got back from the beach last night my sister opened the phone bill... $1800!!! :yikes:
I sure wouldn't want to be my niece right now!

:yikes: And I thought my daughter did outrageous things when she was a teen ($900 phone bill one month followed by a $500 the following month). And it might not be over yet for your sister depending on what period of time that bill covers. Do you think we should start a poll on the date and time your neice will be able to sit again?

International rates can be wacky if you don't have a discount plan covering them. I called home from Iceland once back in the 70s via commercial circuits and ended up paying about $15 a minute.

Whew! Now I'm not so upset about our daughter's $100 cellphone bill that I intend to beat her for, then make her work it off.
