The Outback in Prince Frederick is now open for business.
(Yes, there is an old thread about what was being built back in January, but this is a new thread)
They do take reservations to avoid the mob of new customers.
Enjoy!! :howdy:

Not really "reservations." They do a call-ahead seating which is supposed to reduce the wait time. They just add you to the list. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Owners of the strip mall next door(Ledo's..etc) aren't allowing cars of patrons to park in their lot. If you can't fit in the tiny lot of Outback, you have to park on the road or at the bank. Daughter and family ate there this week and there was a cop patroling to inform people they couldn't park there.

Ouch!! That puts a hurting on business.. I thought that one company owned all those stores?
Bet first time someone gets hits crossing the street, parking "laws" will change!
(Can local law enforcement enforce parking on private property?)
Humm..
Anyway, go early, find a place to park!! Thanks for the heads up!

Does this mean I start my official "two-week rule" now? I have to wait two-weeks for the novelty to wear off so I can get seated within an hour?

I'm still waiting for Mexico's novelty to wear off - isn't looking good!

You haven't been? We've never waited more than 30 minutes even when it's jammed with people. They move people very quickly. We really enjoy the place. :yay:

Daughter gave it a shot on Tuesday or Wednesday. Think everyone was thinking as you were and figured they would wait cuz they(4) were seated within 20 minutes of arriving.

The PF Outback? I heard it was terrible. A friend went and said that the waitstaff were all very new, and slow and the food "Was not Outback quality". I've enjoyed Outback at other locations, so would like to hear that PF location isn't as bad as I was told. TIA

Not yet but I have heard others say that, although the parking lot is full, the wait time is reasonable.

I think I just might have to give it a try real soon. I've missed good Mexican food since the last time we visited Mexico (the country).

As for Outback, if that's all the longer a group of 4 had to wait, then I'm in! I haven't had a bad meal yet at an Outback and I've eaten at several locations. :yum:

Well, hopefully the PF Outback alleviates some of the crowd at Wildewood Outback. I live literally 30 seconds from it and I have to wait at a minimum of 1.5hrs to get a table. :shocking:

Hopefully that is because it IS new and the staff are all new.
Gotta give them time to work the issues out.

No, I was talking about Mexico.

But...doesn't surprise me that you heard Outback is terrible. It will probably take a few weeks to get everything up to par..it's not unusual.

If you go online, you can view the menu for the PF Outback. It's not the same menu as the one in St. Mary's. PF doesn't have the Bushman 'Shrooms.

I agree, and don't mind waiting for them to "get up to par", just thought I would share what I had heard. Some don't expect a big chain like Outback to have as much trouble getting started. :howdy:

I love Mexico!

Actually to brighten your day a little, just because its not on the menu, doesnt mean they can't make it. I have worked at quite a few Outbacks and the truth is they aren't supposed to tell you no if they have the stuff to make it. Hernce the "no rules, just right". And since all the bushman shrooms are is the button mushrooms used for the sauteed mushrooms fried in the bloomin onion batter, they should have no problem making them. I have had people even ask for pizza. As a personal suggestion, if you like broccolli and cheese, order " an all broc veg with the kid mac cheese". To die for! Dont let them bring it with sprinkled cheese on it but the cheese sauce used for the mac and cheese, the velveeta. Awesome stuff!

Hope that helps! :howdy:

If you eat at McDonald's in Prince Frederick, you should be used to an hour wait to get your food. Somehow waiting an hour to sink you teeth into a Quarter Pounder just isn't the same as waiting to enjoy a good steak at Outback though.

First, doesn't the PF Outback look kind of small? I kind of wonder if it is the same size as some of the others, because from the outside it doesn't look very big.

Second, I agree that the PF McDonalds is a disgrace, as is the one in Chesapeake Beach. I'm shocked McDonald's HQ allows both to continue operating.
