Outdoor Bark Control

Anyone know if these things work? A woman at Lowes told us about it today, and we're thinking about putting it by our fence with a neighbor who has 4 yorkies who "yap-yap-yap" at 6 a.m. on a Saturday to 11 p.m. on weeknights. We've trained our dogs not to bark outside at them, but they don't seem to care that their dogs are a neighborhood nuisance. :ohwell:

Pellet gun should have enough velocity to take out a yourkie, and it's quiet!

Unless the birdhouse "phaser" can be switched from Stun, to Kill!

There is one review on the product. Read it. It doesn't look like they were happy with it.

I did, but it's not the only model out there. I'm more curious about the concept. Another model had really good review (on amazon.com). :yay:

I'd love to put them out of their misery (they attack the hell out of each other as it is) but I couldn't bring myself to do it. :ohwell:

No they don't work. The one that we finally got works. It is a collar that gives them a mild shock if they bark. Dog barks once maybe twice and he won't do it again while that collar is on. It recommends you only have it on them for 12 hrs. at the most at a time. :yay:

My young Black Lab thinks he has to bark at everything and anything around his fenced in area...Luckly we are in a secluded area and it doesn't bother anyone except ME....How do you train them to stop barking....It's kind of a bad deal because I want him to bark if someone comes around or if something isn't right but he barks at EVERYTHING....Very annoying....Shock collar?

Every time they'd go running to the barking yipe-yipes at the fence, we'd correct them.

Device has been purchased

and it's working. 3 of the 4 offending yipe-yipes are kept at by and are reducing their annoying presence. We think the one is hard of hearing, which the instructions mention could be the case with some older dogs.
