Outrageous!

Railroad

Routinely Derailed
If this was posted here before, I apologize for the replay:

Full Story: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/m/montebello-flag.htm

Summary of the eRumor:
Several pictures said to be from Montebello high school in Montebello, California, that show students raising the Mexican flag with an American flag flying below it and upside down. The email also includes commentary about the future of America, but the main feature of the email is the pictures of the flags.

The Truth:
The pictures are true. They were taken at Montebello high school on Monday, March 27, 2006. The students were part of a walkout aimed at influencing Congress, which was debating immigration policy and the potential of cracking down on illegal immigrants in the country. Although the flag-raising took place at Montebello high school, officials of the Montebello Unified School District were quick to point out that the protesters were not students from Montebello high school. Assistent Superintendent Robert Henke said the high school was under a lockdown and all the students were in their classrooms. He said that the 800 to 1000 students were from neighboring school districts such as the El Rancho Unified School District and the Whittier Union High School District.

everyone in the country, excluding Native Americans, are immigrants, so why has this become such a big issue.

Unbelievable..........I never really gave the problem of illegal immigration too much of a thought until my nephew became a U.S. Customs ICE agent. No, not every illegal is here committing crimes, but the stories he tells me is enough for me to think we need 15 foot steel walls around our borders with cameras. He is putting his life on the line every day, gathering scum up, only for them to be let out of jail in a couple of days. Human smuggling, drug runnning, child prostitution, are things he deals with on a daily basis.

I'm not an immigrant. I was born in the USA. Oh, by the way, "Native Americans" came from other regions of the world.

For those Hispanics coming here to better themselves and do it legally with respect for our country, go for it! Welcome to America.

What some Americans don't realize is that there is a large segment that aren't here to become Americans. Some are just here for the freebies and never plan to become a productive member of our society. Then you have gangs like MS-13. They make some of our traditional American gangs look like boy scouts. Do a little reseach. You'll see what I mean. Just don't get too close. They'll probably kill you.

They may not seem like a big problem now, but just give it a few years.

You may not be an immigrant, but your parents, grandparents, or great grandparents are. While the Native Americans may have came from somewhere else in the distant past, they were here when America was "discovered" making them the "indigenous people" and rightfully called "Native Americans".

Its time to treat "gangsters" like what they really are.. Domestic Terrorists.. shoot them on site just as we would an armed insurgent in Iraq..

Its been 500 years.. they should become "Americans" and be part of society, instead of fighting for their seperation..

I have no problem with immigration/immigrants. I have a problem with illegal immigration/immigrants. If you want to come here, do it legally. I'll admit that the legal process is in need of some serious revamp, but that does not mean that people can just ignore it. Instead of fighting for "open borders", fight for a better immigration process.

yes I agree, it should be done legally, just as ancestors had done coming in at Ellis Island.

Guess I should go to Mexico and tear down their flag and raise the American flag. The Mexican gov't would probably do nothing about it. Right? :sarcasm: BS. They would have my azz in one of their jails so fast it would make your head spin. And the students who did this should be in jail as well. This is America, not Mexico, France or any other damn country. Those that are here illegally, send their azz back. If they come back a second time, shoot on site. Gangsters, terrorists, etc. Shoot on site.

More and more, every day, this is looking like the solution that is going to have to happen. Illegal immigrants coming into this country and doing as they wish?

Putting their flag on top, and fly ours upside down?

That is an outrage, my friends.

DO NOT EVEN try that in Mexico! Or any other country, for that matter.

Why not solve the problem of illegal immigrants once for all?

Why cannot the liberals who believe those from Latin America deserve to make an American-standard standard of living send their own money to those south of the border to stay home?

Oh, I forgot, the liberals want to spend other-peoples'-money (read taxes) for the poor.
