Power with Control
Not a huge deal, but if you own one of the above listed vehicles you should get this taken care of before it leaves you stranded. The park interlock mechanism in the early year cars, the plastic wasnt the best stuff. So it can break, leaving you unable to move the shift lever out of park. Not a dangerous condition, unless you are leaving your crack dealers house in DC at 2am.
In any case, the repair with a new part is covered, parts and labor. You could wait for your letter to get to you, or PM me, and I'll send a copy of the official letter, that should let the folks at the dealership get you scheduled for it. I'll be swinging up there at lunch time and report back if they have any heartache with advance scheduling.
Oh, and this only applies to those vehicles with the WA580 5 speed transmission. Its found on all Hemi models, 5.7 and 6.4 liter, and quite a few of the 3.5 liter V6s. But none of the 2.7 fleet cars got it.
