Oxygen for visiting elderly with COPD

Does anyone know how you would go about getting medical devices for visitors? My Mother is visiting over the holidays and she need to have oxygen fed into her CPAF mask at night when she sleeps. The device she uses recycles air and concentrates it into the mask. Because the item is heavy and bulky she didn't want to bring it with her on the plane. Does anyone know if and where you could rent something like that?

They call me ... Sarcasmo
Check with the medical supply place in Waldorf. After that, I'd check the hospital's Respiratory Services Dept.

Did you mean CPAP? I have family members that have a cpap machine for sleep apnea, but it doesn't get hooked up to oxygen, it just runs on room air. I need to go investigate this a little more so I know what you're trying to ask.

I found CPAP, BiPAP, IPAP, and EPAP. No CPAF.

we had the same problem this summer when we went on vacation with my mother who has copd, if she is on medicare or medicade its almost impossible. sorry, the contract with the company where she lives would have to be broken and start a contract here and then when she returns started again. roberts oxygen here is soulthern maryland is great but the insurance part is hat sucks, they wont pay. put an ad out on craigs list or start looking for an oxygen machine from someone deceased you can buy or rent privately, we had to drive her whole machine to north carolina with us. if she is flying, almost impossible. good luck
