Ozzy Osbourne Diagnosed With Parkin Syndrome:

The physical tremors suffered by Ozzy Osbourne turn out not to be the result of years of rampant drug abuse but a medical condition, as the rock legend is diagnosed with Parkin Syndrome.

According to an interview with the Black Sabbath and reality TV star, Ozzy had assumed the shakes he had were simply the affects of his former battles with drink and substance abuse.

Two years ago he complained his tremors were "practically destroying his life" and was tested and given all-clear for Parkinson's disease, which he thought was responsible. However, it now appears that doctors have told him his condition is down to Parkin Syndrome, something he has inherited from his relatives.

"I'd always assumed it was the booze and stuff," he explained, "Now I've found it all stems from the family. It's called Parkin but it's not Parkinson's. Anything to do with the central nervous system has the word Parkin in it.

"A doctor in Los Angeles tried to tell me I had multiple sclerosis. And I believed him until I had a second opinion. When I told my sisters she said, 'Not you as well? Mum had that and Auntie Elsie and your grandma.' I'm like, 'Thanks for f**king telling me'. Me walking around thinking I've got some drug paralysis."

The singer will now have to take daily medication for the rest of his life to combat the involuntary tremors associated with the condition.

Ozzy and Black Sabbath will be headlining the second day of three day Downloand Festival on Saturday June 11 at Donington Park alongside Velvet Revolver, HiM, Anthrax, Alter Bridge, Bowling For Soup, 'A', Mooney Suzuki and Mad Capsule Markets.

I know I should just quit while I am behind, but here goes anyway. Neither is fatal, as long as the proper medication is taken. They only affect motor skills, not breathing or any other basic functions needed to live.
