Packing of hunting dogs loose in White Sands

There was a pack of beagles/bloodhound-looking creatures loose this morning around Maple Way/Field Road access to the easement. The dogs seem well cared for and friendly, if rambunctious. I got them to come up to me for a minute. Two were wearing orange collars, but they weren't wearing tags so I could not call the owners to let them know where they are "hunting". If anyone knows someone who has lost a pack of dogs, let them know they've been spotted.

way different! beagles..10-20lbs.... Bloodhounds 85-120lbs just a slight size difference.

they both have floppy ears :yay:... I will have to say that they are not Bloodhounds.. most normal people will not own more than one or two of them at a time :yay:

I will go for Beagles :killingme

I assumed they were beagles, but the two with collars looked more like bloodhounds. They were busy and had an interesting dynamic as a group. I called them over to me to see if they were wearing identification. You could tell the younger dog was eager to come over and play/see what I wanted but would not come over unless the whole group came. I hated to leave them running, but there were wearing no contact information. Hopefully their family finds them. Easy enough to follow the sound of baying if they were close. :)

They were brown and white. A couple of the younger ones had a mottled patch around their neck almost like a bandana, very pretty dogs. The older, stouter dogs had one-inch-thick hunter orange collars.

hmmm one inch thick hunter orange collars, I would take a guess that would mean that they are foxhounds

I'm a cat person, so you've got me. They were some kind of hounds. There was a pack of five of them baying and swarming with noses to the ground.

I googled foxhound but these dogs didn't look as tall as the picture seemed to suggest. Beagle it is.
