The Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) ParentVue, StudentVue and TeacherVue systems will be unavailable from 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18 while the system completes an update. Beginning Nov. 18, parents, students and teachers will have to use a new web address in order to access the programs.
CCPS is moving its data storage from the student information system, Synergy, to a new cloud-based environment. Effective Nov. 18, the link for ParentVue and StudentVue is https://MD-CCPS-psv.edupoint.com.
The new link is the same for both parent and student access. The new link for teacher access is https://MD-CCPS.edupoint.com.
Synergy icons on all CCPS-owned computers will automatically update to the new web address. Changes made in Synergy after 8 p.m. on Friday will not be transferred to the new system. Staff and teachers should not attempt to access Synergy during the update.
The transition of data to a cloud-based system provides CCPS with a cost savings of about $50,000 annually and two additional security layers of data protection.
Parents and students who use the mobile app will have to manually update the new web address through the app itself. The following are steps to change the web address in the mobile app.
The steps are the same for teachers who use the TeacherVue mobile app.
ParentVue, TeacherVue and StudentVue links on the CCPS website, as well as individual school websites, will temporarily redirect to the new website. However, the redirect is temporary. System users should update any book marks to the current website with the new web address.
The new web address for ParentVue and StudentVue, as well as the web address for TeacherVue, go live Nov. 18 at 5 a.m.
