Part-Time Toddler Care?

Does anyone know of a reputable center for family run daycare that offers Part-Time care for toddlers. All of the ones that I've researched will only provide full-time care. I don't require full-time or wish to pay for full-time if I don't need it. I would prefer something in La Plata, but I can do just about anywhere in Charles and Northern St. Mary's Counties. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Try Mary's Little Lamb Daycare on Rt. 5 near 235 and WAWA Mechanicsville. Not sure of the # or you can call the Child Care Administration in Leonardtown, 475-3770 or Southern Maryland Child Care Resource Center in Charlotte Hall, 301-290-0040.

Hope this helps.

Is your child at least 2 years old? If not, finding part-time care with a part-time price is virtually impossible because the spaces are limited. If you can't work it out to share a space with another parent, than the child care has to give up an entire spot to you, so naturally, they want to get paid for an entire spot.

Over age 2 spots are not as limited, so you should be able to negotiate, but many care providers are still stuck on the idea of not being able to fill a partial spot, if you only take part of it, even though it is easier to fill partial spots for children over age 2.

Check your pms.
