Passing on the right

How does the Md. law define passing on the right? I can't find it. I can't mean blowing around someone on the shoulder because there's a double line meaning "no passing". I was doing 45 in a 40 mph zone and a truck and car blew around me I know hitting 60 after they went around me. A##holes

passing on the shoulder was made mostly legal a couple years ago... I can't say I've noticed any double white lines on road shoulders.

I knew about it's ok if the car in front of you is stopped, etc. I didn't think it included passing on the shoulder just because you feel like it. When they passed me, there was someone standing on the shoulder (this was in Leonardtown, so I'm thinking they were waiting on the bus).

oh..you were rolling at near full legal speed and not making a left turn..somehow I glossed over that part. That can't be legal...

Was passed on the shoulder on 231 a couple weeks ago when I was doing 55.
I thought it was just me. Some of these clowns are out of control.

Like a dope, mine wasn't on. Too bad you can't search a tag number to find out the name of the respective insurance company. Hey Mr. Allstate, you might need to raise this guy's rates.

 Was driving the car that didn't have the dash cam. Only seem to see stupidity on the roads when I am driving the cam'less car.

I didn't think so. Speed limit was 40, I was doing 45 and not making a left turn.

That's for sure. No wonder there are so many roll overs, vehicles into trees, etc. I forgot to mention when he was behind me, I looked in the rear view and he was yelling something and waving his hand around outside the window. I'm sure yelling at me because I was only doing 5 miles over the speed limit (Route 5, single lane). I don't know where the truck behind him came from.

It's happened to me a lot in this area and I'm with you -they're ***s. I'm beginning to think that 60 in a 40 mph zone is the only acceptable speed.

I had a good one the other day. I was in the right hand lane with some young guy right on my butt, although the left hand lane was wide open. The light at Shangri-La and 235 turned yellow far enough back that I had to stop or I might be going through red. He stopped behind me, backed up, moved over to the left hand lane, and crossed over in front of me to make a right hand turn, Didn't even pause.

Unreal.

Just curious: male/female? general age bracket? cheap car/expensive car?

Just trying to build a profile.

P.S. Yes social justice warriors, a/k/a "I Hate White Men" club members, no need to chime in, we already know you're going to say it was a white male in an expensive car with a Trump bumper sticker and MAGA hat.

So where's the cutoff line between "building a profile" and "stereotyping" ?

Many years ago, you could go to the MD MVA site and type in a license plate number and get their information. Then ability was turned off around 2000 because of privacy issues.
