Pastor Arrested for Sexually Abusing Children

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Special Victims Unit, arrested Tony Ray Malbrough, 44 of Indian Head, on Jan. 18, charging him with multiple counts of sexual child abuse and sex offenses in connection with incidents that occurred at his private residence in Indian Head. At the time of the abuse, Malbrough was a pastor at a church in Charles County.

On Jan. 18, at 10:20 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers received a call in which a 14-year-old boy reported he had been sexually abused by Marlbrough while receiving music lessons at Marlbrough's residence. Detectives learned the abuse occurred on multiple occasions over a period of years and involved other children known to the victim. Those victims were contacted and confirmed they, too, had been abused.

I just don't get it. Someone these kids are supposed to trust. This just makes me sick.

Christians.

Christian means to be "Christ-like". This man is NOT a Christian. He may believe in God, he may be a pastor, and he may claim to be Christ-like, but claiming to be a Christian DOES NOT make you one. The way you live your life for Christ makes you one.

Yup. Kinda disgusting there are so many pedos gaining the trust of little children by claiming righteousness. And up until this news was relayed people went to this abysmal creature for salvation, advice, guidance, and compassion.

Yes. But, that was not your purpose. Would you have made the same statement if it was a Muslim person, an African American, or a gay person? That would make for a nice diatribe for the forumites.

The article mentioned he was a pastor to a) get other victims to come forward and b) the get the public's ire up. Otherwise, if he was a blue-collar worker, his job would not have been mentioned.

Your characterization of Christians is as bad as Toppick's retarded thread in FC. It's just as bad as if you made a statement about his race.

You've always been an idiot, and you continue to show your ignorance.

There is a segment of people who seek to gain those postions of trust soley for the purpose of grooming these children. I don't know why our clergy, or anybody who is going to have access to our children don't have to go through some sort of background to include psychological screening and polygraph testing!

Nice idea but that wouldn't do any good. Most offenders are sociopaths. They would pass testing with flying colors.

Yup. Hell, most jobs that have you interface with children require you to get a background check. I had to when I worked at a golf course and at the YMCA.
