Just bookmarked that site. Our taters usually come out good, but those are good benchmarks to stay away from.

Mine come out OK but just learned a few things.

I searched the site for Gravy. My S.O. got mad at me last Thanksgiving when I asked her to pass the beans. Her gravy actually looked like a bowl of beans and I thought that was what it was. I felt so bad, she worked hard as hell on that meal.

Now I just gotta figure out a way to politely present this to her. :whistle:

:meh: I'll just wing it. Sometimes my gravy HAS been too thick, but I was conscious of my mistake when I made it. As for the mashed potatoes themselves, I make adjustments as needed while mashing them. Sometimes a little extra milk will solve the problem, but to be honest, I've only had the issue once or twice since I started cooking in 1988.
