The fear of Smell
I truly respect any and all folks who join the military and I deeply respect many who have witnessed combat... but I am not too keen on any particular soldier, sailor or marine who thinks they are above and beyond any other soldier, sailor or marine in public and want MONEY!
We learn esprit de corps and team work with challenges of competition throughout our military tenure, so there is a lot of "talking sh!t" between us... but that is sometimes for morale and in some ways patriotism to the squad, unit, command or dept as a whole... but when one person is portrayed as "something better", I get kinda turned off. Perhaps I am reading it wrong.. but I have close friends from Delta Force that spit seals out for breakfast; but by protocol, most people wouldn't know them if they walked by and stepped on their foot! Yes, they are that secret!
