If a paypal email does not direct your full registered name in the introduction, its a fake, i report them all to paypal when i receive them.

By now, everyone should know that they should NEVER follow a link in an email to any account they hold.

Go to your accounts via the addresses you have saved for them.

I wonder, how many people actually DO fall for that crap?

Any email from Paypal will address you by your member name. Good catch, glad you did not fall for it.! :yay:

Remember everyone - if you ever ever receive something from your Bank, PayPal, etc. - NEVER NEVER NEVER use the link. The safest thing to do is Delete the message and then open your Browser and go to the site in question.

Glad to see that you reported the phony email to PayPal.

I've stopped bidding for anything on eBay since they now force you to use PayPal. It seemed that everytime I won an auction (Which I payed for using US Postal money orders) I'd invariably get one of these phony PayPal emails within a day or two.

Obviously someone or many people are tracking completed eBay auctions and send these out hoping to catch a phish. Until eBay rescinds their enforced use of their crappy PayPal system I will no longer deal with them.
