What PDAs do you guys use? What's the average price, and where to purchase it. I don't want one that incorporates the cell phone right now. I just want to use it instead of my daytimer.
TIA!

I've got a Dell Axim X30.. LOVE it. It has wireless abilities.. run's on Windows. Very easy to transisiton to, SYNCH's with Outlook, can actually produce documents, spreadhseets and e-mail on the PDA, where I think PALM you can read spreadsheets but you can't make spreadsheets etc.. I have a wireless network in my house, and with three kids and one computer it gets hectic. NOW one kid takes my PDA and can sit on the couch and chat with his friends while another is on the PC and playing games. It has a SD card slot for expansion and storage, and you can actualy buy games on SD cards to play on the computer.. 625 Mhz Processor 64 MB RAM Basically does everything a desktop computer does in teh palm of your hand.

Stared playing with the handwriting recognition KEWL.. no more graffiti, it recognizes about 95% of what I write on the screen.. No matter what you buy, make you sure you purchase screen protectors.. worth EVERY penny.

Dell Axim starts at around $200, and just like any other computer from Dell you can add accessories, GPS, Camera, Wirless.. etc.. mine ended up in the $450 range.. I've dropped it a couple of times, been caught in the rain.. and my kids use it CONSTANTLY .. no problems yet.

I sync it with both my home computer and my computer at work..

USing the wireless connection you can shre your home internet access.. there's also a way to share internet access on my computer at work using either the IR port or Bluetooth, I just don't know how to do it, and haven't had the need. Other then that you have to search for wireless portals.. some of the hotels around here I can actually link into their internet access

A lot of hotels offer wireless internet access or bluetooth for their customers, get close enough to the hotel you can get access.. I THINK Holiday INN at Somolomons is SOMD Wireless.. I get them off and on at my house.

Oldest son (17) downloaded a Nintendo emulator, and he plays all the classic nintendo games on it. Motly he sits on the living room floor while we are watching TV and chats to his friends on it. He took it to school and they have a wireless port, where he could access the internet from anywhere in the school.

I've chatted in here before on it when the kids were doing homework on the PC. No time difference or 'lag'.. screen looks real good..

Dems, I am sorry but I would not sell it to you. The liability would be too high. 1. I would have to meet you to get my money 2. You would pester me for at least a decade about how to work it. 3. You would misconstrue a business transaction with the idea I actually like you and I want to drag you back to the Pete cave and make you my very own.

I wouldn't buy if from you because 1) it's probably clogged up with jergins 2) it's probably been dropped in the hot tub a few times too many and 3) it's probably bright pink. I'll pass

Love the new Av Pete....
I like Dell products, so it's a contender, also like HP stuff.
Is it really a bargain to buy on Ebay?

I suppose it can be, but there still is risk of it being a PITA.
