Who carries large jars of off-brand PB for cheap? I've been making my own PB/seed cakes and the birds love it, so the off-brand stuff should be fine. Going to see what BJs has, but I think they carry name brand (costs more).

Thinking outside of the box here, but get a bag of peanuts and a grinder and make your own.

Maybe. A 5lb bag is $7 at BJs, but sounds like a lot of work to shell and grind, might not be cost effective.

Not with a Ninja chopper...just throw in the peanuts & run it for 2-3 minutes...comes out smooth
Hell, sit down & shell the peanuts while watching TV...

That's ok, thanx. Don't have a Ninja, would have to clean up all the shell schnibbles after shelling, clean the chopper...

And it was WalMart for the win, Aldi a close 2nd. 4 lb container for 50 cents more than 5 lbs of unshelled shelled peanuts. No muss, no fuss.

Edit: meant shelled, not unshelled.
