Peanuts from BJ's

Skip the #5 bag of Hampton Farms Roasted Peanuts. They aren't fit for human consumption.

Mine will be squirrel food tomorrow.

BJ's is definitely hit or miss.

Sharon: I only buy the peanuts from BJ's to feed the squirrels, bluejays and titmouses. It's the cheapest place to get them IF you are only buying them for the birds and squirrels. We used to go thru 10 pounds a month. I quit buying them cause it made such a mess on our deck. I'm just going to buy them to throw on Vrai's deck from here on out.

The titmouse's love them, which really surprised me. I put some out on the deck railing last year and thought the squirrels would jump right on them. This one titmouse came along and picked one up, flew off, then came back for almost all of them in 30 minutes.

We have a million bluejays and they get very aggressive about the peanuts and make a mess. Boy decided one year to put small nails thru the peanuts, tie them to the deck with fishing line and watch the blue jays take off with them. While cruel, it was funnier than hell.
