The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a now fatal pedestrian collision that occurred last week in Oxon Hill. The deceased pedestrian is 39-year-old Brandon Harris of Oxon Hill.
On February 10, 2022, at approximately 6:50 pm, patrol officers were called to the area of Indian Head Highway and Oxon Hill Road.
The involved vehicle was traveling southbound on Indian Head Highway after leaving a ramp near Oxon Hill Road. The preliminary investigation revealed the driver struck Harris who is believed to have been walking in the far right lane at the time. The driver remained on the scene and was not injured. Harris suffered critical injuries in the collision. He died of his injuries on February 12, 2022.
