The department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that took place in June in District Heights. The deceased pedestrian is 59-year-old Michael Howard of District Heights. He died of his injuries on Saturday.
On June 17, 2022, at approximately 10:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 5800 block of Marlboro Pike for a collision involving a pedestrian. Once on scene, they located Howard in the roadway. He was taken to a hospital for treatment where he died on July 16, 2022.
The preliminary investigation revealed Howard was struck as he attempted to cross Marlboro Pike. The driver remained on the scene following the collision.
