Pedistrian Struck -- HG Truman / Cove Point

Calling for reconstruction, near / at PBP entrance across from golf course entrance. Blocking traffic. Sounds kinda bad, dark, raining.

Subject in 40's altered mental status, broken tib / fib, hurt pretty bad. Medic 102 on scene. Lots of responders.

Open (compound?) fracture, can't be good.

Now talking about transporting two additional patients. A Pri 3 and a Pri 2, poss 2x pri 3's. Maybe occupants of vehicle that hit pedistrian? I assume the tib / fib open fracture patient is at least a pri 2 and probably a pri 1....

Medic / ambulances arriving on scene.

Two Pri 2 patients to St. Marys (trying to keep a family together), one Pri 1 to Calvert.

there's another thread saying this may be the guy in the black suit that so many people have seen walking down that way.

Trying to open up traffic as much as possible, it sounds like, divert traffic around actual scene. They were holding traffic at the Shell station, guessing they are turning them out to Rt. 4 to bypass scene.

There are plenty of openings to get people out to Rt. 4.

So glad I went to Giant on the way home.. otherwise that is the route I usually take.. could have ended up being me that hit him.. same time.. and it is so dark and hard to see out there.

I'm sure the driver is traumatized, but should not feel they are at fault. If the guy is wearing all black, walking down the middle of the road on a dark rainy night, I think it would have been almost impossible for anyone to avoid hitting him. You wouldn't even see him until it was too late.

I think I would forever feel at fault.... I can't even imagine being the driver :bawl: I freak out if I hit a squirrel and always do what I can to avoid it.

I'm the same exact way. But jeeze, this guy was putting other people in danger by walking in the middle of the road in such crappy weather conditions at night. I just hope everyone is okay.

Agree, I drive that route all the time too.
