It's the mark of an assh0le. Someone who has to fake being nice because they don't know how to be genuinely nice. Whenever someone talks like that I immediately know they suck and stay away from them. Those people will stab you right in the eye if you let down your guard, and I hate being guarded.

You know since sometime in my early 40’s I’ve noticed sleep is underrated.
