If he doesn't stop saying Trump asked him to "overturn" the election I'm going to find him and scream in his face like the deranged progbots do.

He was such a terrific VP, or so he seemed and now I'm wondering if he wasn't trying to undermine Trump the whole time.

I dont' think he was an inside man but since leaving office, I think the Never-Trumpers have been giving him hell behind the scenes.

They're moving him into the Cheney-Bush camp.

For good or bad the election had already been called for Biden and to change it at that point would be to “overturn“ it.

I certainly hope he and the RNC are not trying to groom him for 2024. Mr. Excitement would never win. Once again the election is the Repubs to lose. Let's hope not.

But if the election result was fraudulent, and there's a good bit of evidence indicating it was, is it really "overturning" the election, or is it simply auditing the result and coming to the correct outcome?

As in, the election result is exactly that. Pencil whipping and fake ballots aren't the real result, and if it is proven beyond doubt that there were illegalities going on, what was certified was not the actual election result. Therefore Pence wouldn't have been "overturning" the election - the corruption is what overturned the election.

No, his political career is over. People only liked Pence as an extension of Trump, when we thought he was on our team. Similar to how I liked Liz Cheney until she started playing for the other guys.

I believe we will know at the mid-terms, if President Trump runs again, VP Pence will not run. If President Trump doesn't, look for them to put VP Pence in the race.
You dont hear much about VP Pence out here, other than occasionally hearing about his new home in Indy and the endless $100,000 dollar speaking gigs hes doing.
I believe hes to most honest politician inside of the DC Beltway.

Honesty doesn't equal electable. Lies have gotten politicians elected for 250 years.

Curious why you believe that?

He was our Governor, he and his family have done well for Indiana, hes a Indiana man.
Hes been VP, hes open, hes honest, has lived a clean Christian life.
I have yet to fully agree with any politicians voting record and the platform they are running with since I starting voting in 1976. Vice President Pence and President Trump would be my #1and #2 picks in that order.
Pence has achieved the largest state tax cut in Indiana history while also lowering the business personal property tax and corporate income tax to strengthen the state’s competitive edge in attracting new investment and good-paying jobs for Hoosiers.. We have factories here... Lots

Whats not to like? He disagreed with President Trump? BFD..
Thats one of the reasons President Trump picked him.

Hes everything most Conservative politicians are not....
You will never hear that hes having an affair, he stole, he groped or touched, he aappropriated something...

Unfortunately the system didn't have enough checks and balances to get an audit done in a timely manner and the courts ran for cover if any suits happened to come before them. They avoided hearing cases and passing judgment on the merits; instead they employed every legal tap dance maneuver at their disposal to make cases just go away.

I wish the SCOTUS would have gotten involved as soon as all the irregularities started being brought to light and had the states prove the election results were legitimate and the standards they used were in accordance to state and federal laws.

But once the courts (either state or federal) abdicated their role and the state legislatures/governors failed to control their state election officials, it was too late for the type of hail-Mary people were trying to get Pence to do.

I have two objections to Pence:

One, his use of the word "overturn". Anyone with any sense at all knows that what was certified was not the true results of that election. The Democrats actually overturned the election with their cheating and law breaking.

Two, that he has said numerous times that the election was fair and the outcome correct. We all know it wasn't, and when he says it was it makes me firmly believe he's in on the fraud.

Oh, and I thought of a third one:

That he had the nads to call Trump "un-American" for questioning that fraudulent election that we all know was bull. That infuriated me the most, so it should probably be my #1 objection.

Because if in fact 81 MILLION Americans came out to vote for Joe Biden - the largest number of votes in history - for JOE BIDEN!! - we might as well surrender to China right now and be done with it, because we don't deserve nice things.

The VP has zero authority to do what you expect him to have done under ANY circumstances.

So there is that.

Perhaps you’ll want to go take high school civics again. And this time don’t fall asleep in class.

That's the thing, they didn't come out. They mailed out ballots like free crack and made sure that people that wouldn't normally bother voted Biden. I bet there were 20 million extra votes for Biden just because people that wouldn't have voted had a ballot cast, either nonchalantly or for them by someone who they gave their ballot to.

Pretty sure nothing was done because of the fear over what would happen if the election didn't hold up.

Whoever runs against Biden needs to point out this is what happens when you do dumb chit.

I think you discounted the laziness and apathy of the average person, combined with Covid giving them nothing to do that is where all those extra votes came from.
