Moral equivalence much?

You should look up that phrase. It doesn’t mean what you think it does

Rioting and burning is the same no matter the color of the rioters.

And actually it’s racial bias or racism that allows you to forgive one and not the other

It obviously has never occurred to someone so materialistic they post pictures of their stuff to try to impress strangers that there are more important things than money. Like lives?
You should see the amazing array of stuff those spoiled game players post pictures of. Mind boggling mansions...exotic cars... ;-)

Yay! Never witnessed it before him. I read he is ready to stand now if someone will hire him.
He's a subpar NFL QB and that's the main reason he's without a job. He got benched for a reason and its not because he decided to act like a petulant child on the bench.

Is not putting your hand over your heart when the national anthem is playing disrespectful, or just kneeling?
I think there is a strong distinction between not being respectful (as in, forgetting to put your hand over your heart) unintentionally, and intentionally kneeling.

From the analogy point of view, this would be like going to the grocery store and taking a candy bar and putting it in your pocket because your hands are full; when you get to the checkout, you forget it's there and walk out with it. YOu get into your car, realize it's there, go back in and pay for it. THAT is forgetting to put your hand over your heart. Going to that grocery store and putting a gun in the face of the checkout girl, taking all the cash in the register, and fleeing - that is kneeling in protest, as compared to the former.

I know you were looking to "gotcha" somebody, but that's my personal answer.

No, besides Kapernut, where did it come from and specifically what does it signify? And what's the end game? Do they continue to kneel in-perpetuity? What is the "thing" that will satisfy their complaint?

It is logical. The flag is the symbol of America; disrespecting the flag is disrespecting America. Are you OK with them kneeling? I don't mean do you support their right to kneel; are you personally OK with their actions on that stage? Hypothetically, what if they chose to stick up a middle finger during the anthem? Would you be OK with that? At what point would you consider their action to be over the line?

While some deaths at the hands of police are unnecessary, most are justified. Do some use excessive force? Sure, not going to deny it happens. Do some go on power trips and go into "respect mah aurtorita" mode? Sure, it happens. But these are the exceptions. Most times cops have reasonable intentions to enforcing the law and some criminals/suspects just fail to understand if a cop is intent on arresting them, he's going to do it. Right or wrong, at some point, fighting and resisting arrest is pointless. How many of the "unnecessary" deaths were because the suspect was not following the cops instructions/orders? Or worse made a threatening gesture? How many were accidental?

I'm not excusing bad cop behavior and any cop found doing something illegal should have the maximum punishment...because they have been trained and should have known better. But I believe bad cops make up an extremely small percentage of any given department.
I agree they make up a small portion but it is the systematic racial bias in the country that allows it to keep happening and keep even the bad ones from being prosecuted which is exactly what the protests are about.

Kapernick started it by sitting. He then met
former Seattle Seahawks player Nate Boyer, who served as a Green Beret in U.S. military action Who encouraged him to kneel instead to show respect for the flag as military members do for a fallen brother.

You can’t be the dumb can you?

The differences is they are doing something to stand up to injustices not just posting pics of rusty vans to impress people on a small

While one "should" stand facing the flag or the sound of the music with hand over heart, I have no problem with anyone standing in silence.

Wonder what things would be like if y'all didn't commit crimes at rates wildly out of proportion to your 13% segment of the population?

And PS..I've never owned a van. Ever.
Yes. And the fact they are willing to lose that for theirs beliefs is apparently incomprehensible to someone who only values themselves by their things like you.

Sorry. Maybe it was a trailer that was rusty. Your pics were very blurry

Liar. You do that a lot. Brought up to lie? Or a learned trait?

And those spoiled brats don't expect to lose a dime. Most of them aren't smart enough to think that far ahead anyway..they get paid millions of dollars to beat each other up over a pigskin ball, after all.

I think it is perfectly fine and well within their first amendment rights.

The first two times Colin did it he sat on the bench. He then met with a veteran who encouraged him to kneel to show respect to the flag while also showing his displeasure at police violence. It’s not mocking and the people kneeling are still showing respect while protesting police violence.

People get mad when blacks march, when BLM protests, when players kneel. People got mad when blacks sat on the bus, sat at lunch counters. Why don’t you tell black people how and when they should protest if you think you have all the answers.
I don't think anyone will dispute that they are within their first amendment rights, the same as the owners are within their rights to bench, fire, not hire... anyone who decides to make their statement on their time. As to people getting mad at marches, all of us have places we have to be, things we have to do people standing around in the road are doing it only to inconvenience them. The fact that they haven't had more of them turned into road pizza is probably a greater testament to being civilized than anything else. BLM lacks credibility because their argument is a lie. Blacks aren't getting shot at any great rate, and almost every one who has was doing something that caused them to be shot. If I had a complaint to make here it's that not enough white scums aren't getting shot. As to when blacks should protest, how about never? Their petulant acts are an embarrassment to the civil rights pioneers who came before them and is detrimental to making any headway to undoing the harm that the last president caused.
