I grew up in the western part of the Paystate of Taxachusetts, driving has long been a blood sport there.

I've had rental cars from MA, they looked like someone beat them with heavy chains. One barely had 1000 miles on it and it was all scratched and dented. The rental agency was like "it's from MA, dont worry about dents and scratches".
Haven't driven in NY or Boston since the 90s but remember it well, as an adventure.

My all time favorite place was Indianapolis.
I learned the reason they built the Speedway there.
Try driving in China or Egypt...you'll never want to drive again.

Last time I went, I rolled out Logan headed to Lowell in my rental, no crap Love that Dirty Water came in as I hit the first of the Big Dig tunnels going north, defending my lane changes and choices against all comers, I was literally singing at the top of my lungs having a blast.

I just did morning rush hour on Monday, im about a hour north of indy so I drive down 69 to 465 to 70W to the airport on the west side.
70W is closed in downtiwn indy so one gets the full experience of driving halfway around 465.
Average speed is 80+ loads of tailgating with a phone in hand.
But 495 has better speeds, closer tailgaters and the 5-6 lane changing at one time.
495 at night also has the porn watchers on the overhead videos.
Yeah.
When I was there some years ago that was about the average speed then as well.
They slowed down to 65 for construction.

Its interesting driving on different beltways after growing up on 495, the uncomfortable part here is no auto inspection laws, pos hoopties are the norm here. Will pops, worn out suspensions, one headlight along with one brake light....
Kinna like WV without the winding hills and cliffs to drive off.
