Two out of the five people that work in my office are now wearing masks. One because his girlfriend had a slight fever (99*) yesterday and was sent home from work. The other? She just likes to be dramatic.
I'm making a game out of it. I've collected 3 in the past week because of my near fatal accident at work. Today I get to see a specialist at a "wound clinic". I'm sure they'll give me one, as well. :yay:

I'm saving them for when for when I work with fiberglass. They fit much better than the Harbor Freight dust masks.

They call me ... Sarcasmo
I'm hoping to get some of my Crown bags made into masks. I drop them off to mom this evening when I go down to the old home place.

I'm thinking those wearing mask while driving are minimizing the times they need to touch the mask by putting in on at home so it is in place when they reach their destination where the mask is required. Makes sense to me.

Ah. Yeah, that makes sense. I was kind of wondering about that. So many of them now.

Dropped an N100, and a handful of N95s off at the home of a good friend in 7D Sunday. She's in her 60s and a heavy smoker with chronic pulmonary issues but her/their real problem/concern is for their young daughter living at home with them that has severe respiratory issues (COPD/asthma) and is convalescing from major surgery that didn't go without some bad complications.

They were scared to death that someone would infect them somehow. The fact that its pollen season only makes their matters worse. The relief on her face when we handed her those masks was quite evident.

A 60 year old has a young daughter?

I have a question about masks and this coronavirus thing in general. When I returned today, my neighbor was sitting outside and wearing a mask. I asked if she had been okay as I haven't seen her in a while. She volunteered that she wears the mask all the time even in her own home including sleeping in it. She lives alone. We were at least twenty feet apart and there was no one home in the neighborhood. Has the virus developed so much that it just hangs around in the air or something? I get that it can be transferred by touch and things like spit etc. but to just hang out floating in the air - did I miss that?
Yes, it can hang around in the air for a while and can travel even beyond 6 feet. But an infected person has to do something to make the virus airborne. If she lives alone and no one ever enters her home she shouldn't worry about airborne contaminants. But by that same token, if she was less than 6 feet away from you when you two were talking and you are infected, you could spread your infection through the droplets released by your talking if you do not wear a mask.

Sometimes this time of year I've seen people wear them because of the pollen. Maybe that's why we're seeing people with them on in their cars.

Pretty sure I saw someone made a mask out of a bra cup.

PF Weis yesterday around 3pm had a lot of people wearing masks. At least it was people who were in the "at risk" category and not those just looking to up their Instagram cred.

There was also another trainee starting yesterday. All the other cashiers were marveling at the fact that he was 16 and already had a beard.
