Perceiving The Truth

Overall, 60% of American voters who expressed an opinion believe that there is absolute truth, and 40% believe each person determines their own version of the truth. Even though a majority seems to acknowledge the existence of objective truth, the fact that a number approaching half indicates it does not exist is frightening. It is even more concerning when you consider the current environment.

Perhaps cartoonist and public intellectual Scott Adams put it best. Before the 2020 election, he said Americans watched the same movie on two different screens. Some Americans experienced the Trump presidency through the lens of MSNBC, the New York Times, and other legacy network news channels. Others saw it through the eyes of Fox News, the Salem Media networks, and various podcasts. Few engaged with both sides of the aisle unless their job required them to.

So, while half of Americans who watch cable news waited with bated breath for the other shoe to drop on Russian collusion with Rachel Maddow, the other half learned from Tucker Carlson that Special Counsel Robert Mueller found nothing. Few voters know that court documents exonerated General Michael Flynn before President Trump pardoned him. Slightly more are aware that the only campaign that colluded with a Russian in 2016 was Hillary Clinton’s. Special Counsel John Durham’s findings received almost no legacy media coverage, leaving most of the country ignorant of the machinations of Igor Danchenko.

Along with discerning the Truth one needs a healthy dose of COMMON SENSE to ferret out the bullshit

some of us did not not Tucker to tell us ' the truth from Muller .. we knew the Russian Collusion Claim was BS from the start, based on what was reported in the NON Woke Progressive Media

It was the same brain that knew Jussie was lying - it didn't make a damned bit of sense. Why even would the Russians WANT to place Trump in office over Hillary, after all the gimmes under Obama and her ineptitude as Secretary of State? The Russian prostitute "pee" story to this day STILL sounds like what it always was - a salacious but otherwise completely concocted story designed to sound disgusting and racist. I mean, what does it have? Gross - sexist - Russian - racist. I mean, geez, were any of them gay? It sounded on the surface as the most ridiculous thing you'd ever heard.

The man is a billionaire. He didn't need the Russians. He was already threatening them as candidate Trump. And he was particularly brilliant at CONSTANTLY getting air time by the networks so he didn't NEED to spend money. He was playing them, and they fell for it.

Obama GAVE them Crimea and they were fighting the Ukrainians - already. Gave the Russians South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Cancelled the missile defense system for Europe. I mean, sorry, but Hillary was a gift for them.

Like the idea that MAGA wearing rednecks were walking around Chicago in the wee hours of the morning in a snow storm to harass someone from a show they were extremely unlikely to have ever heard of - as Chapelle put it -

Chappelle went on to say that there was an outpouring of support for Smollett from celebrities and Hollywood but that African Americans were "oddly quiet" on the subject.

He added that that was because Black people understood that Smollett was "clearly lying."

Ditto Hillary - the story from the beginning was clearly bullshit.

Just remember this. When Trump was President, there was no war between Russia and Ukraine. The Democrats caused that war like they caused this energy crisis, by voting for Joe Biden.

Analysis of Obama Speech.

“This is not an abstraction,” Mr. Obama warned.

“Governments start telling you what books you can read and which ones you can’t. ( Yep. Democrats doing just that, replacing them with 1619 bullshit and CRT )

Dissidents start getting locked up. ( Yep. Jan 6th rioters (Not endorsing this BTW) being locked up without trial and longer than car-jackers and murderers.)

Reporters start getting locked up if they’re not toeing the party line. (Nancy and Hillary were mad that Reporters weren't pushing Democrat agenda hard enough)

Corruption reigns because there’s no accountability.” ( Russia Collusion Hoax, Impeachment Hoaxes, Covid Hoaxes, Hunter Biden and The Biden Crime Family, Pelosi and other Democrats insider trading, Biden opening border for the cartels and invaders, FBI going after parents dissatisfied with their local school systems, Justice Department failure to prosecute democrat operatives for attacks on GOP offices, Crisis Pregnacy centers, citizens attacked by left wing operatives... And far too much to list )

The Demonrats have always painted themselves as the "anti-war" party.

They are no such thing, and they showed it via the mass freak-out and public outcry they put forth when Trump suggested disentangling ourselves from the Middle East.

It's exactly why they hated Nixon so badly. It wasn't because of Watergate; it was because he was primary in getting us out of Vietnam. The military-industrial complex had milked that poor old cow to death. Nevertheless, they, and their demonrat allies had a meltdown over the withdrawal. They hated him ever after.

Maybe for a few military interventions. The major wars of the 20th century were almost all begun by Democrats (although you really can't blame FDR for being bombed by Japan). They were against the Gulf War - which as it turns out was one of the biggest routs in modern history. They were against the Iraq War, and probably not without good reason. But by and large, they're the hawks.

What IS true, is, they ARE largely against defense spending. But war isn't typically their reasoning - it's the money. They want to spend that money. Remember the "peace dividend" at the end of the Cold War? Dems couldn't WAIT to build down the Defense budget so they could start spending it.
