Performance chips/programers

If there is a prior thread please direct me but here is the question. Can anyone recommend a performance chip/programmer unit for my '08 F-150, (5.4L Triton V8, automatic trans.)

Those chips/hand held programmers are all junk (unless you have a diesel)

Find someone with HPTuners, a laptop, and a dyno.

More bang for your buck

You should check out the f150 forums and see what people are using. See what the benefits of each one is. I use a SuperChips Cortex for my Titan, works well for what I use it for. 87 performance, better mpg and throttle response.
 
I use a SuperChips programmer for my GMC 1500. It helps, but there is only just so much you can do with a 4.8L motor.

Not sure what options the ford guys have, the best would be something along the lines of HPtuners. For us with the bastard 4.2L in the Trailblazers, envoys etc, especially the older models we have a very finicky and PITA PCM. There is a company called PCM of NC that offers a tuning service, we send them our PCM and they have basically a menu that you pick your tune from. I plan to redo mine when I order the header for my truck as it usually takes about 2-3 days.

Like someone stated check out the F-150 forums for options.
