While I have known of pooches to eat apples and yogurt and peanut butter (mine will eat apples, nonfat Greek yogurt and almond butter), I've also read of others being fond of food items off of the straight and narrow.
One of my gals will stick primarily to the hearty gems if given to her (or dropped by me), such as the normal meaty fare.
My other gal likes vegetables - brussel sprouts, asparugus, green beans and especially brocolli. However, they must be heated and seasoned slightly. She won't eat hard boiled eggs out of the fridge; they have to be cut and heated and peppered. She is also an afficianado of dark beer, bourbon and egg nog if you leave them unattended.
Now to witnessing my all. I was eating a grapefruit this morning (I eat mine like an orange) and the Twins of Trouble decided to give me "the puppy dog eyes"... After I let #1 smell it, she thought nothing of it. My finicky gal, #2, smelled and took it and actually nibbled on it for a few! As if to give it a try!
Have you ever heard of a dog eating grapefruit?
