Pet Cremation

Dougster can do it, he'll probably even bring the trailer to your house and do it in the driveway for an extra fee.

Our vet sends them out to

Valley Pet Cemetery and Crematory

They pick up on differnet days at a variety of animal hospitals and deliver them back the same day the following week, or you can choose to have them spread the ashes on their land.

I know when I took picasso to the vet they gave me the option to get his ashes so I guess they send him off or they do it there I am not sure which they do.

Valley Pet is wonderful. You can make the arrangements yourself if your vet doesn't use them. That is what we did. Your pet is picked up and returned the same day a week later. Returned in beautiful box with a certificate of individual cremation.

They are reasonable priced also. Not like a vet in the county that wanted to charge me more than three times what Valley charged.

:yeahthat: If you shop around you may want to ask whether your pet will be cremated individually. Some places cremate several animals together and can't guarantee the ashes that you receive are for your pet.

Anyone know of a reputable place that does cremation? Thanks.

PM Baileydog. She had her pet cremated several years ago, So she will probably have the name of who she used. I think she may have had it done out of the area as if I am correct there are laws in MD about using a crematorium for other than human remains.

I could be wrong though or those rules may have changed. We also may have pet crematorium's now.
