In January of this year, I had my dog Lucky creamated by Valley Pet Cemetery and it was 175.00. He was 127 pounds they picked up and brought him back to the vets office in a nice urn, but acutally it was a "box" about the size of a receipe box.

I may have thought about the ASPCA had I known that they did cremations, just to help support their cause. Thanks for posting this information.

That's a good price for 127 lbs, I know for my girl at 135, I was quoted almost $500

OMG are you serious? Well I know St. Charles Animal Hospital and the Emergency vet in Waldorf, deal with Valley Pet Cemetery, because (as you may remember), I had to put down a dog in November, cat in December and dog in January and I had all three created by Valley Pet. My dog in January was the most expensive because he was the fattest. Each time they came to the vets office and picked them up (on mondays) and brought them back the following Monday. I got a certificate "Authenticating" that is was my pet.

There is no way I could have afforded 500.00 and I thank god, I wasnt quoted that price because when you lose a pet, you are so vulnerable, I know we put a lot of money into each animal before the hard choice was made to put them down and I probably would have caved and paid 500.00 because I paid for all the tests to determine that each of my pets were basically "unfixable" even when I already knew they werent.
