Pet Ponder...

On one hand, I'm so very proud of my hunter he has brought me moles, voles, a teenaged black snake, a baby black snake, but lately we've been finding piles of feathers. Saturday was pile of red feathers and a cardinal face w/beak, yesterday was a pile of black feathers. He's quite happy and content with himself and he is really really good at doing what cats do. On the other hand, these birds come check out my flowers and such so I kinda feel like an accomplice. :ohwell:

Grew up having a cat that would leave squirrel's tails on our front steps every morning. My mom never had the heart to tell us kids that the squirrels they belonged to were dead. We'd go around looking for tailless squirrels.

Can I borrow him? My little diva has discovered she enjoys licking snakes. :twitch: I'm afraid she's gonna get mistaken for a rodent and get eaten while she's kissing snakes.

OMG! That would be horrible to finder her missing and a snake sunning himself with a big ole lump in the middle! :jameo:

I was walking my dog at the park a few years ago... he licked a giant frog and the next thing I know, he ate it.

Ewwww.

She's not playing with them, barking at them, nothing. I look down to see what she's doing and she's just kissing a snake. Lick lick lick. Meanwhile I'm :cds:

That must have been one fast cat. :yay: In all the years I have cats, I've only had one that almost caught a squirrel. I think if he had not been hit by a car, he would have eventually got one.

Ya know.... now that I think about those piles of feathers... I'm starting to doubt my original assumption that the pile of bunny fur was just an old bunny bed disrupted by raking or something...:ohwell:

Apparently not fast enough because she got hit by a car right outside our house. After that, no cats went outside unless on a leash/tie-out.

My sons and I rescued a baby bunny on Saturday that fell down a hole. I was afraid that once freed, it would run towards the fence and our dog would be waiting to get it. Luckily, it went towards the bushes near the front of our house.
