I just had to ask a girl to stop walking her dog in our yard. She's been doing it for a few days now. She had bags to clean up, but she was allowing the dog to pee on bushes and trees IN our yard, not along the ditch at the roadline.

I understand dogs will go when they want to go, but I've never seen anyone lead them into someone's yard to do their business, especially down a residential road where every house has a decent sized yard.

Maybe it's something trivial, but when you put out the money for landscaping, and don't allow your own dogs to urinate on your plants and kill them, why should a stranger?

ask her to come back and reseed your yard :yay:

Get a Taser gun. The next time the dog tries to pee in your yard, zap the human with it. :yay:

The dog will never come by your yard again.

I have 3 dogs that sometimes go in my OWN yard. My neighbor brough his big dog over while I was standing outside the other day. After his dog crapped in my yard he says, "you don't mind do you?" I know it's not the first time, I've seen him bring his dog INTO my yard on purpose to crap. I said "isn't 3 dogs crapping in my yard enough for me to clean up??? I don't bring my dogs to your yard to crap." I think I might just do that to prove a point.

I have to wonder if I'm the only one in the world who doesn't care if a dog pees or craps in my yard?

And I have very nice landscapping... did it all and maintain it all myself.

If the dog begins to like a certain tree or bush, all or part of it's going to die. Also, who knows what her dog is carrying in its intestines? It's just quite rude to do it on purpose when I KNOW you have a yard down the street.

What if I have a dog that doesn't like strange people or dogs? What if we have an invisible fence line and she's crossing into it, where the dog can get her or the dog? I don't have either of those, but it could happen in the other yards she's walking through.

I think it is rude to let dogs pee or poop in someone's yard. I make sure my dog goes in MY yard before I walk her. Or she can pee in the dog park. Pee is particularly terrible for some plantings and grass and can kill them. If you've ever shelled out money to get sod put down, you'd think twice about letting your pets go wherever. That being said, I don't say anything or chase down people who let their pets go my yard, I just use my knowledge to base my own decisions with my own dog.
