They're making a stink over the horse being euthanized after the derby.
That horse was well fed, housed safely, and generally pampered. When it was injured, it was euthanized as painlessly and humanely as possible.
They also spend their time protesting KFC because eating chickens is "inhumane."
All the time, they are ignoring the true inhumane treatment that animals get every day. It wasn't sensational enough for them to help the horse in Park Hall (Snowflake?). They don't notice dogs tied out all year long to suffer in the heat and cold without adequate food, water, and shelter. They don't notice the ignorant people who feed feral cats.
If PETA actually cared about animals, they'd do something about the real abuse that happens every day. They wouldn't just pop up every time something dramatic happens.
