PGPD PGPD Arrests Suspect in Connection With March Homicide

Homicide Unit detectives arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide investigation from March. The suspect is 22-year-old Jose Landeverde of Greenbelt. He is charged with the murder of 22-year-old Hector Diaz-Urritia of no fixed address.

On March 14th, at approximately 1:30 pm, a citizen walking near Lake Artemesia in Berwyn Heights notified police after discovering a body. The victim was located suffering from trauma to his upper body and pronounced dead on the scene.

Landeverde is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
