PGPD PGPD Arrests Suspect in Weekend Fatal Shooting

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified and charged a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting on Saturday. The suspect is 31-year-old JC Littlejohn III of District Heights. He’s charged with the murder of 28-year-old Dante Williams of District Heights.

On May 13, 2023, at approximately 11:50 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of Blacksmith Drive in the unincorporated section of District Heights. The victim was located outside of a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital where he died a short time later.


The preliminary investigation revealed Littlejohn shot Williams during a dispute. The suspect and victim were known to each other. Littlejohn is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
