Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on Saturday that occurred on N/B I-295 near the exit for E/B Route 50. The victim is 38-year-old Damaris Lindsey of Washington D.C.
On March 21st, at approximately 12:20 pm, patrol officers were called to that location for a reported shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim in the driver’s seat of a van that had collided with a guardrail. Lindsey was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.
Detectives are working to determine what led to the shooting as well as identify a suspect(s).
