PGPD PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Capitol Heights

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred Monday morning in an unincorporated area of Capitol Heights. The deceased driver is 56-year-old William Hill, Jr. of Washington D.C.

On February 14, 2022, at approximately 5:00 am, officers responded to the 2100 block of Kenilworth Avenue for a single-vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed Hill was driving southbound on Kenilworth Avenue, when for reason that are under investigation, he lost control of his car, left the roadway, and struck a jersey wall. Hill was pronounced dead on the scene. There were no other occupants in the car.
