The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash Wednesday night in District Heights. Investigators are working to identify the deceased driver, an adult male. Once he is identified, his family will be notified.
On September 30th, at approximately 10:30 pm, officers responded to Walker Mill Road at Silver Hill Road. The preliminary investigation revealed the car was traveling southbound on Walker Mill Road when for reasons that remain under investigation, the car left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. He was the only occupant in the car.
