The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Saturday morning. The victim is 23-year-old Spencer Alexander Davis of Forestville.
On March 14th, at approximately 2:40 am, officers responded to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue at Walters Lane for a collision.
The preliminary investigation revealed Davis, who was the sole occupant in his vehicle, was traveling northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue approaching Walters Lane. For reasons that are under investigation, he struck the center median curb and ultimately struck a traffic pole. Davis was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the roadway. A driver of a second vehicle swerved to avoid the collision but struck Davis in the roadway. The occupants of that second vehicle were not injured and remained on the scene. Davis was pronounced dead a short time later.
