PGPD PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Springdale

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the circumstances of a fatal collision involving a motorcycle in Springdale. The motorcycle rider, 33-year-old Durrel Venable, of Capitol Heights was pronounced dead on the scene.



On August 30
th, at approximately 8:30 pm, officers responded to the 9500 block of Ardwick Ardmore Road for a fatal crash.



The preliminary investigation revealed Venable was heading westbound on Ardwick Ardmore Road approaching La Dova Way. For reasons that are under investigation, Venable’s motorcycle collided with an unoccupied parked car.
