The department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a now fatal collision that took place in early December in Suitland. The deceased driver is 75-year-old Emeka Nwokekeh of Fort Washington.
On December 8, 2022, at approximately 4:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 4500 block of Silver Hill Road for a single-vehicle collision.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Nwokekeh was traveling northbound on Silver Hill Road, when for reasons that are under investigation, his car left the roadway and struck a utility pole. He died of his injuries on January 1, 2023.
