On February 21st, at approximately 11:15 pm, patrol officers were called to the area of Marlboro Pike and Old Crain Highway for a vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation reveals a car was traveling northbound on Marlboro Pike, when for reasons that remain under investigation, it crossed the double yellow line into the southbound lanes striking Curtin’s car head-on. She was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle was taken to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
