PGPD PGPD Investigates Fatal Shooting in District Heights

Prince George's County Police Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday night. The victim is 33-year-old Kelvin Carter of Southeast,Washington DC.

On October
21st, at approximately 7:00 pm, officers responded to the 5000 block of Silver Hill Court for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered Carter in front of an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify suspect(s).
