PGPD PGPD Investigating Domestic-Related Homicide

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a domestic-related fatal shooting in the unincorporated section of Upper Marlboro. The victim is 16-year-old Kamryn Janifer of Upper Marlboro.


On May 28, 2023, at approximately 9:10 pm, officers responded to the 12500 block of Woodstock Drive East for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, they located the deceased victim and two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. Kamryn was pronounced deceased a short time later at a hospital.

The Homicide Unit has identified all parties involved in this incident. They are relatives who live in the home and there is no danger to the community. The investigation continues.
