The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation into a double fatal shooting in the town of Forest Heights Tuesday evening. The two decedents are 24-year-old Brian Freeman of Forest Heights and 21-year-old Sakou Mathis of Washington, DC.
On December 17, 2024, at approximately 5:50 pm, officers with the Forest Heights Police Department responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Seneca Drive in Forest Heights. The two decedents were both located outside suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances of this incident.
